Sorry. We do not show the obvious. Sorry, Gloria Gaynor
Northeastern vs Towson – Northeastern rode Chris Doherty who was 10-10 from the field to win in overtime over William and Mary. The game was close throughout. Northeastern built an eight point lead in overtime and held on.
Towson completed their home run season, by winning the continuance of a game that was stopped due to a wet floor. They were down nine vs Delaware at the time but roared back to win easily. They have run roughshod over most in the Colonial. They are no longer the plodding half court Skerry types. To give you some idea of how good this team is, Skerry’s best team in his tenure had a power rating of 80.5. This team I have rated at 87.5 and I may just be too low.
With all of the Husky struggles this year, they played Towson tough twice. They were down their top two scorers at Towson but rallied from 15 down to lose only 70-67. In the rematch in Boston, Northeastern caught Towson off a mammoth win in Hofstra and upset the #1 seed, 58-53. It should also be noted that overachieving teams often struggle in the first round of conference tournaments. Underachievers, usually perform better. Add to that that Bill Coen still coaches at Northeastern and it would seem like they have some shot. Unfortunately, teams that play on less than 24 hours rest, typically struggle the next day. The split during the year may just keep Towson from feeling a bit apathetic. They are rested. They are also far superior than this version of Northeastern.

Delaware at Drexel – Both teams are playing to the highest ratings under their present coaches. Delaware ended the year by losing three straight, the third the revision of a game at Towson, that meant nothing to them and everything to Towson.
After Drexel had a disappointing loss to UNCW, they made a huge comeback to beat College of Charleston. The teams split the season series with Delaware holding off every Drexel run to win in Philly and Drexel winning wire to wire in the rematch in Delaware.
This is definitely a pick em game. Both teams should be healthier with Okros returning for Drexel and Painter ready for more minutes for Delaware. I would trust Inglesby slightly over Spiker so
